Student insurance through schools, studied by Business Week.

It’s a good thing that schools do have insurance plans. They provide insurance coverage, with the help of the school of course, so that they’ll get the best valued insurance in the market today. But do they really get the best deals?
Business Week, a prominent magazine, tried to study the different health insurance plans for college students today. If you think they gave a thumbs up to their findings, you’re wrong. Out of the 10 universities they studied, 6 recommend students to get insurance while 3 of those REQUIRE them to get one. When they tried to review the policies, Business Week found out that these plans can pull the families down financially. Some universities also bill the students automatically (through the tuition) for the insurance plans (which should not be the case).
